For years we have struggled to response to a challenge of teacher education in its various contexts, being aware of the deficiencies of teacher training and development, but, at the same time, not reaching community-negotiated solutions.
[...] The book reveals international trends in early childhood teacher training and takes into consideration various aspects that can have a significant influence on teachers' work in a fast changing world in the 21st century.
[...] The authors of the book chapters come from different continents, which gives a very positive final effect: in fact, they explore the chosen aspects of teacher education in a global dimension. [...] The book comprises not only papers that discussselected issues based on literature, but it also includes papers reporting on original research and its findings.
In my opinion, such diversity makes the book more attractive for Readers as they can be closer to the recent development in knowledge and research. [...] The monograph certainly reveals a broad spectrum of detailed issues of teacher education and promotes a careful study of this field, the study that is sensitive to numerous contexts.
