Published to coincide with the bicentenary/ies of the Peninsular War and its major battles, this is the first major biography of Wellington for 40 years, written aby an acknowledged expert in the field. A huge amount of new source material has come to light since then, and this paints a significantly different picture of Wellington as a soldier and a man.
