Second in the WWII series featuring Jack Tanner. Posted to a training camp on the south-east coast of England, the deaths of two Polish refugees makes Tanner suspect foul play. When he and Sykes are nearly killed, his suspicions fall on an old comrade. But as the Germans launch their Blitzkrieg, training is abandoned and they are sent to Europe.
