The new, fourth edition of the book Lijepa Naša Hrvatska has just been published in 10, 000 copies in the Croatian, English and German languages. It is a revised and updated edition of the book that was first published in 1972, after the "Croatian spring". So far, 108,000 copies of all editions have been distributed and sold in the Republic of Croatia and all over the world giving a better picture of our cultural heritage, natural and ethnographic treasures and other details of our beautiful country. The authors of the texts are prominent Croatian experts and the subjects discussed include Croatian history and development, national resorts, folk costumes and ethnography, as well as monuments and sites mentioned in the list of UNESCO-protected world heritage monuments and in the Mediterranean list of most prominent historical cities. As well as 735 colour photos in the edition, you can also find details and descriptions of all the regions and districts of the Republic of Croatia, from our capital, Zagreb, to the regional cities of Dubrovnik and Cavtat. At the end of the book there are two extremely valuable appendices: 'Small Country of Great Sportsmen’ with 200 coloured illustrations and an overview of all the cultural, artistic and film festivals on the Adriatic coast.
